How can the educational regime of a school be infiltrated by urban and open spaces?
In an open competition, initiated by the City of Vienna, an educational campus with 33 classes or nursery school groups for around 800 children was to be organised in four clusters.
The SCHOOL CITY initiates the address-forming interweaving of local green fragments with higher-level connections. The accessibility from the surrounding area is inscribed in the development of the structure: A green corridor running north-south between Donaufelder Straße and Kagran forms a second, “gentle” location in the east, parallel to Attemsgasse. The east-west connections to the Kirschblütenpark will be strengthened by another public passage on the northern edge.
